The Youth Association’s second “Innovation and Technology N Generation” award ceremony was successfully held
In recent years, Hong Kong has been committed to promoting the development of innovation and technology, opening up more opportunities for young people, and leading Hong Kong to become a world-class smart city. The “Social Innovation and Youth Entrepreneurship Department” of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups received sponsorship from the Law Kwai-cheung Foundation to launch the second “Innovation and Technology N Generation” (Young Techpreneur Project) to provide innovation and technology training, entrepreneurial start-up funds and support for young people aged 18 to 35. An awards ceremony and exhibition will be held today (12th) to announce and display the selected innovation and technology projects. The winning team will embark on the path of innovation and technology entrepreneurship and realize their entrepreneurial ideals.
The first “Innovation and Technology N Generation” was launched last year and received an overwhelming response. This year reached another peak, with nearly 200 young people applying for a total of 115 teams. After two rounds of selection, 6 outstanding teams were finally selected. Their businesses are very wide and have their own characteristics, including AR tag shopping experience, AR funeral memorial, community puzzle game online platform, online children’s emotional education, AI & AR Hearing testing and services, as well as online children’s nutrition and health education.
Dr. Chan Pak-li, Deputy Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, served as the officiating guest. Together with Zhang Luo Qile, Chairman of the Luo Guixiang Foundation Donation Committee, Liu Yuqin, Volunteer Treasurer of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, and Xu Xiaoman, Deputy Director-General, they communicated with a group of young people to understand their innovation and technology business plans. . The “Innovation and Technology N Generation” organized by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups provides 15 practical digital technology business training sessions for young people with potential to enhance their innovation skills, improve the industrial ecology and enhance the quality of life. This year’s training courses have introduced new elements, including software development, plan writing, market planning, design thinking and practical skills training. It also added the concept of social return on investment, metaverse and non-fungible tokens, etc., so that young people can learn more about it. Stay close to development trends and explore new opportunities.
